A Bit About Us
Principal Engineer Yaofu Zhang launched his corrosion protection career through early research on brass corrosion in premise plumbing systems. He has since managed corrosion protection programs for major municipalities, designed cathodic protection systems for critical transmission mains, and led corrosion risk assessments for utility-scale solar facilities across 24 countries.
Mr. Zhang previously served as President of the Baltimore–Washington Chapter of AMPP. In addition to briefing congressional staffers as an expert witness, he has contributed to AWWA manuals and UL standards development.
Mr. Zhang is an AMPP-certified Corrosion Specialist, the highest level of certification offered by AMPP, held by only three professionals in Maryland and approximately 123 nationwide. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, California, Texas, and the District of Columbia.
